Tokko Black Pink T-Shirt

A graphic rooted in a forgotten chapter of Japanese motorcycle history.

The front print features authentic tokkōfuku-style kanji inspired by the hand-painted uniforms worn by members of Japan’s bōsōzoku scene. The back graphic reproduces artwork and text from an original Osaka Prefectural anti-bōsōzoku campaign poster, distributed during the late 1990s and early 2000s as part of efforts to suppress illegal street racing throughout the Kansai region.

The design includes references to real police operations such as MNS (Midnight Silent) and MBL (Mountain Veil Route), enforcement campaigns specifically targeting highway racers and mountain road activity. While originally intended as anti-bōsōzoku propaganda, these posters have since become sought-after cultural artifacts, documenting a unique period in Japanese motorcycle history.

Rather than celebrating stereotypes, this piece preserves a visual record of the constant tension between youth motorcycle culture and the authorities that sought to control it.

The artwork has been reproduced from an original poster sourced in Japan and adapted for this release while maintaining the visual language and historical character of the original material.

Every print is individually hand screen printed in Tokyo, Japan by ResultWorks using traditional screen printing techniques. Due to the handmade production process, slight variations may occur, making each piece unique.
